The trade name “THUSELCO” expresses its’ conceptual meaning as

Thuselco Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, has started its’ functions from scratch , and have gathered highly qualified and standard human resources and a management fully furnished with knowledge and knowhow on the related trade, As well geared with cutting edge technological equipment and methodology in the field of producing coir substrate products.
Based on a comprehensive vision and a mission “THUSELCO” was established with a wider prospective, which has currently evolved beyond the limits of a conventional entrepreneur. Through out the time from its’ inception, “THULECO” has now groomed and mastered on the subject of producing coir base products, commended internationally. “THUSELCO” is an organisation with a global vision, incepted upon clear principals and policies of its’ own, enabling it to grow as a versatile manufacturer of goods and services of coir related products. Maintaining high standards and quality of the production process and products, as well as supply the quantity upon the required demand on time, have always been key focused objectives of “ THUSELCO ” from its’ very inception.
Apart from the industrial vision, “THUSELCO”, extends its’ production activities with a national policy of “Serve the countryside to grow the country”, has created many employment opportunities to a vast number of locals in and around the region. As well it has developed a strong network of suppliers and related service providers as a result of the manufacturing process. The functions of “THUSELCO” has created a key chain connection among the society and families by which, many are directly and indirectly benefitted in diverse ways and means.
The Mastermind behind the Screen
Thusitha Siriwardene , the master minded Managing Director who was behind the screen of “ THUSELCO ”, was born and nurtured in Panduwasnuwara amidst the historical values of the kingdom , has pursued his college education at Central College in Kuliyapitiya. Throughout his college education Thusitha was a shining bright student in the field of commerce, and later succeeded to enter the University of Sri Jayawardhanapura. Being a committed and a studious student in campus at the faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, young Thusitha pursued his studies in the field of accountancy, and succeeded to obtain a special degree with a first class, as a Bachelor of Science Accountancy. In the year 2008 , a rare and the most acclaimed award presented to the most outstanding students by the University , “ The Patric Mendis Prize” , was awarded to Thusitha , for excelling in leadership and academic activities in the faculty of Management Studies and Commerce. As well he was awarded the “ Gold Medal ” for being the most outstanding student on accountancy studies at the University, which was felicitated by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants , at the convention held in 2008. Being academically qualified and professionally specialized in the field of accountancy and financial management, he then pursued his professional studies to be qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Thusitha Siriwardene is a proud and a sound Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka .
With a strong and a flourishing academic and a professional background , and a visionary mind drive Thusitha Siriwardene , established “ THUSELCO ” and manoeuvred its’ activities and functions with high productivity and standards to achieve the goals of the self-made entrepreneurship , and elevated it to the present state of a successful entity.
Joining hand with his cause, Kumudu Pemarathna , wife and the soulful life partner of Thusitha has immensely contributed her academic and professional expertise to develop and maintain the business with fullest productivity and success.
Obtaining a classy Bachelors of Science degree on Human Resource Management at the University of Sri Jayawardhanapura , and further qualified as a Chartered Accountant , Kumudu Pemarathna has extended her skills in Human Resource Management at “ THUSLECO ” , which has fine tuned the functions and productivity at its’ best.
Committed and professionally skilled management combination of the duo Thusitha and Kumudu has brought vision and light to “ THUSELCO ” and continue to pave the path for its’ further growth beyond the boundaries.

Production Capability and Capacity
The mastered production line at Panduwasnuwara , annually produces about 300 of forty feet containers , and monthly process about 600 tons of coir substrate products. Reaching further limits “ THUSELCO ” is fully geared and has the fullest capability to expand on supplying of products , to any extent upon demand.
The Global Market
Having a unique range of internationally commendable, coir substrate products “ THUSELCO ” has gradually expanded its’ presence across the globe in to different destinations. Meeting with the global market demands, at present “ THUSELCO ” supplies coir range of products to Mexico , Canada, Malaysia , Switzerland , Turkey and UAE. Further developing on management and marketing expertise, “ THUSELCO ” is in the process of expanding its’ supplies towards other international destinations beyond the borders.
